Del Worsham defeated Ashley Force to win the Funny Car final round at the NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston over the weekend. Worsham's K&N Filters/Checker Schuck’s Kragen Chevy Impala ran an impressive 4.93 second elapsed time against Force’s 4.97 second run.

NHRA-O’Reilly Spring Nationals qualifying

BAYTOWN, Texas -- Odessa native Alan Bradshaw raced to the provisional No. 1 qualifying position in Top Fuel during the first day of qualifying Friday for the O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park.

Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Kurt Johnson (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (PSM) rounded out the provisional No. 1 qualifiers through the first two of four rounds of qualifying.

Don Schumacher Racing introduces two exciting new features to its shoeracing.com website, "Ask us Anything" and "In the News," which will further enhance driver accessibility to fans of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

DSR brings its all-star lineup of drivers and crew chiefs to the table for "Ask us Anything," where fans will be able to submit questions online to team owner Don Schumacher's "cast of characters": Tony Schumacher, Gary Scelzi, Ron Capps, Jack Beckman, Cory McClenathan, Jerry Toliver, and Chip Ellis. Crew Chiefs Ed "Ace" McCulloch, Todd Okuhara, Steve Tartaglia and Mike Green will also participate to give insight on the mechanics of a Top Fuel Dragster, Nitro Funny Car, and a Pro Stock Motorcycle.

2008 Nitromethane Procedure meeting in San Antonio

There will be a meeting on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 12 noon during the Amalie Texas Nationals. It is mandatory that all Nitro Funny Car and Top Fuel owners / drivers be in attendance. Matt Hagan and crew departed for Rockingham Dragway, "The Rock" today for a weekend of testing with the Shelor.com/TORCO Monte Carlo Nitro Funny Car.

This will be the third test outing for Matt Hagan Racing for the 2008, with prior sessions taking place at Rockingham and Valdosta.
