Beckman gets 2nd Funny Car win of the season
MOHNTON, Pa. – In a final round that matched teacher against student, Funny Car driver Jack Beckman raced to his second win of the season on Sunday at the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals.

With air temperatures teetering near 90 all day and track temperatures bumped up near 120 degrees, competitors got their first taste of summer conditions during the opening day of action at the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX, and Larry Dixon, Tony Bartone, and Dave Connolly adapted best to the hot, muggy conditions, grabbing the top spots on the provisional ladders in their respective classes.

Hawley Upbeat After First Round Gatornationals Exit
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- In his first competitive outing since 1991, former world champion Frank Hawley drove the Gotham City Racing ProCare Rx Dodge Charger R/T to a first round exit in the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
